What are national qualifications?
National qualifications are designed by industry for industry.
ETITO, as the industry training organisation for the financial services industry, works with industry experts to develop qualifications that grow the skills and knowledge of people while recognising the work they do everyday. These qualifications are made up of unit [competence] standards that describe the skills and knowledge required by the industry in a particular area.
Unit standards and national qualifications are registered on the National Qualifications Framework [NQF] that is administered by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and is designed to provide nationally recognised standards and qualifications, and recognition and credit for a wide range of knowledge and skills.
