National Certificate in Telecommunications [Level 2]
This qualification is the first step to a technical career in telecommunications. Trainees learn about:
- Basic customer service and communication skills
- Basic principles of magnetism and electricity
- The use of basic test instruments
- Soldering and electrostatic precautions
- Fundamental concepts of telecommunications
- Installation of residential cable systems
- Installation of residential telephone and facsimile equipment
- First aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and occupational health and safety basics
