Standards and Qualification Systems

ETITO's Standards and Qualification Systems [SQS] team is responsible for creating the ‘products' that we deliver to our industries.  This involves writing national qualifications in partnership with our industries and NZQA; accrediting training providers to deliver qualifications to our industries; running the national external moderation system for ETITO's industries; conducting research to develop strategic training plans and other research; and developing workplace learning support and assessment materials for those ETITO qualifications that are delivered in the workplace.

The team in SQS have highly specialised skills such as a meticulous attention to detail, and strong writing and proofreading skills.  Plus they're able to sustain a great deal of concentrated work - such as writing qualifications on a computer for extended periods of time.  SQS staff also have strong facilitation skills for consulting with industry in the development of qualifications.  And most important of all - they need to take pride in creating something of a very high standard and value.
