In 2005, ETITO conducted security sector research to provide skills leadership for the security industry. Following this, ETITO formed three research groups to advance the recommendations contained in the security sector research findings [to read the summary of the research, please click on the PDF below].
A great deal of effort was put into ensuring that the composition of each research group included, where possible, large and small companies, urban and rural companies, North Island and South Island, both genders, Maori and Pasifika members, any advisory group representation, users and non-users of ETITO's current qualifications or service delivery systems, and training providers.
