Literacy on-the-job

Literacy on-the-job profiles help:

  • Employers to identify what skills to look for in employees and what skills to develop in their workforces.
  • Tutors and trainers: to develop training objectives and help set skill development targets.
  • Employees: to see what skills are required in the jobs, to identify the skills they have and ones they might want to further develop.

Learning resources

In the PDFs below are a number of resources you can use in your workplace training sessions.  These have been taken from a book put together by ETITO for on-job trainers and security supervisors to build the communications skills of their employees.

While the information and activities have been designed with a security industry focus, they are quite generic and trainers can amend them to fit with their own company requirements and procedures.  You can also use them as a foundation for your own activities.
