Applications for an ETITO managed apprenticeship are welcome from people of all ages with a reasonable level of maths and literacy skills. Both apprentices and employers enjoy the support of ETITO's office-based staff as well as a national network of training managers who provide face-to-face assistance and advice out in the field. Modern apprenticeship
In 2001, the government introduced a new initiative to complement and build on existing work-based industry training. 'Modern Apprenticeships' offer the best of the apprenticeship tradition with additional mentoring support for both the employer and apprentice via a modern apprenticeship coordinator.
