In 2006, ETITO conducted research into how we could provide leadership around current and future skill needs in the electrical sector. The aim of this research was to assess the effectiveness of national training for electricians in meeting current and future skill needs, as well as identify areas for improvement. Research into the role of those involved in the National Certificate in Industrial Measurement and Control [Level 4] took place in 2006. The objective of this research was to identify issues impacting on current and future skill needs for instrument technicians. Bright Sparks is a programme that was created by ETITO to foster interest and capability in electrical and electronics pathways in schools.
