Becoming a Registered Training Workplace [RTW]
A Registered Training Workplace [RTW] is an organisation that is registered with ETITO and able to provide full training and assessment support to employees [trainees] towards attainment of a full qualification.
The ETITO Registered Training Workplace system provides funding and support to eligible organisations for the purposes of training and assessment relative to selected national qualifications including the National Certificate in Financial Services [Level 4 and Level 5].
To become a RTW organisations need to meet eligibility criteria which includes:
- A commitment by the organisation to engage trainees in the whole qualification [not parts thereof]
- Confirmation that the organisation is not receiving government funding from any other source for any training and assessment relevant to the qualification
- The organisation’s ability to nominate and provide sufficient numbers of workplace assessors to conduct assessment of the trainees.
An RTW is a formal agreement between the organisation and ETITO that outlines the commitments of both parties. Appended to the RTW Agreement is an RTW Schedule which is negotiated and signed annually.
This schedule outlines:
- Fees
- Training subsidies
- The number of employees [trainees] the organisation expects to register in that year
- The number of workplace assessors that need to be trained in that year
- The number of Recognition of Current Competency Prior Learning [RCCPL] applications that will be assessed that year [for assessors so they hold the same qualification as the one they are assessing – e.g. National Certificate in Financial Services [Level 4]. Note RCCPL is not available for the Level 5 qualification]
- The level of training and assessment activity that will occur within the schedule period.
