Assessment
When a trainee feels that they are competent in the skills outlined in the unit standards, they can be assessed for competency and credits towards completion of a qualification can be awarded.
Assessment involves the collection and recording of evidence that demonstrates an individual's competence in each unit standard for which they are seeking credit.
This evidence can be gathered by observing normal day-to-day work, from the orgnaisaitons records, team leader's/manager's verification, questionnaires completed, and verbal discussions.
Registered workplace assessors
Assessments can be carried out in the workplace by trained and registered workplace assessors or through an accredited training provider.
To become an ETITO registered assessor for the level 4 certificate, individuals need to hold the qualification, have gained the unit standard 4098 and be working for the RTW company.
People who are doing the level 4 qualification and becoming an ETITO registered assessor are able to gain the qualification through the recognition of current competency and prior learning process.
Assessment support
ETITO offers a wide range of resources, tools and dedicated staff to advise and support the management of assessment.
